Guitarpad is a computer program that lets you visualize the lyrics and chords of a song. Also, it is very convenient for storing songs in .txt, .html and .rtf formats downloaded from the Internet. Other features include the ability to visualize, hear and modify the chords of a song. You can add you own chords to the list and compose your own songs too. The program contains a database of more than 300 guitar chords, as well as a very useful tuner, which you can use in one of three different modalities: automatic, for those who can connect their electric guitar to the sound card of their computer. This mode detects automatically the string you are tuning. The manual mode uses your microphone and lets you choose which string you want to tune, and the Tune by ear feature plays the correct note of each string as a reference.
A very interesting feature is the Transposing option, that lets you transpose a whole song by a semitone just with a click of a button. This is a very practical and time-saving feature.
You can download and use the full program three times for free; after that, some of its features will be disabled, and you will have to purchase a license if you want to continue using it.
